Melody Gray is a werewolf. She is the daughter of a werewolf and a real wolf, so she is different even from her own kind. She is the strongest of her siblings and works as a P.I.
Nick Price is a CIA agent and very good at his job. He was raised by his Vodun aunt but does not believe in magic of any kind. He thinks his superior is crazy for believing in werewolves who of course do not exist.
When a CIA agent comes to town looking for Melody’s brother, she is determined to protect Garth and the other Weres in the area. Nick Price is determined to find the man his supervisor is convinced is a werewolf. The fact that Nick is Melody’s mate really complicates things until an unfortunate incident changes everything and drives Nick away from her.
I have been waiting a long time for another book in this series and this one certainly did not disappoint. Melody is an extraordinarily strong wolf who is distressed to find that the only man for her wants to lock her brother up. There are a lot of twists and turns in the story and many dangers for the two, from a crazy jealous would-be suitor to a wannabe Vodun Prince who wants to rule the world. The author brings Voodoo and lycanthropy together in a very unique way. The love story between Nick and Melody is contentious and passionate with great love scenes. The other characters are quite colorful and should provide the reader with some great future stories.
