TRUTH OR DARE
Amber Quill Press
Rating: 3 Cups
After drinking and getting caught up in a game of truth or dare with her best friend, Laura finds herself at their favorite bar, ready to go on stage and dance in a pole dancing competition.
After a change in the rules is announced, Mark offers to dance with Laura on stage.
When Laura gets to the club, she sees her old boyfriend and his wife in the audience. Her best friend stops her from running, but then they find out she must have a man dance with her. When Mark volunteers, Laura is ready to run again, but instead Mark pushes her on stage. When the dance is over, she tries to escape and he leaves his wife behind to take her home. Deep buried feelings complicate the situation—Laura finally admits to herself she is still in love with Mark.
Truth Or Dare is a fun, quick read. I enjoyed the characters; sweet and dreamy Mark and broken hearted Laura are easy to relate to. Some people may be offended by Mark’s wife, but when the whole story comes together, the actions of all the characters make sense and you will not be disappointed.
