TRUE LOVE AT SILVER CREEK RANCH
Valentine Valley, Book 2

Rating: 3 Cups
Brooke Thalberg is too busy helping her father and brothers run the Silver Creek Ranch to worry about a silly thing like love. Lately, though, she feels like there is something missing in the life she shares with her close-knit family. But it will take a barn fire to shake her from her comfort zone, to say nothing of the handsome stranger who rescues her beloved horses.
Adam Desantis knows better than anyone else that you cannot reclaim the past. In this case, he does not even care to try. He is back home after serving with the Marines in Afghanistan. Injured in mind and body, he knows he has no business getting involved with a woman like Brooke.
The more Adam and Brooke fight the attraction between them, the more it blossoms. Could it be that, with Brooke’s help, Adam can put to rest the pain in his past? It will take time, love and the opportunity to help a young man that reminds Adam so much of himself. In the end, it is impossible to say no, when the whole of Valentine Valley is saying yes!
Though primarily about Adam and Brooke’s romance, this book is also about the inhabitants of Valentine town. The vibrant secondary cast creates a new take on a familiar theme. Adam’s return to his hometown after suffering the horrors of serving in Afghanistan is well done. This winter tale is worth a look to those searching for a sweet love story.
