Rhiannon cannot believe her bad luck. Not only has she lost her best friend, devastating her life dearly, but now she learns the one person she loves has to separate from her to keep her safe.
Lucien has been a vampire for over two hundred years. He has dreamt of finding someone like Rhiannon, but to keep her from harm, he must keep his distance. The only way to have her in his life is to train her so she can free him from his slavery.
Rhiannon cannot feel much of anything after the death of her best friend. Even Lucien, whom she had loved, left her, only to proclaim they must stay apart due to the evil Queen. Their lives have been challenged by so many events that the only way they can communicate is through dreams and their mind. Lucien must find a way to train her to fight against the evil Queen and help him escape from her hold. It is also for Rhiannon’s protection. She wonders -- is he now just her protector or boyfriend? She desperately wants him in her life again. The only condition for them to ever be together is to defeat the Queen and gain their freedom to be with each other. Will Rhiannon be able to stand up to the evil Queen or will she lose Lucien forever?
Debora Ryan creates a well-developed story with robust characters that linger long after the story ends. The emotions of Rhiannon and Lucien really stand out in this read and touch upon the reader’s heart. Tomorrow Cries carries the reader into the mind of the players, sharing the challenges, love, struggles, and everything thrown at them. This fantastic read keeps giving, and the dynamite ending makes me want more from this talented author.
