Delia Sebastian is no longer in the Marine Corps but still maintains protocol. After learning she is doing a giant leap to 44 BC, she is not excited with having a partner.
Captain Jake Tyler first met Delia during a military operation on the plains of Afganistan. He has never forgotten the love he felt for her before their split.
As a psychic and historian, Delia learns she is going back to 44 BC to gain access to Julius Caesar’s court. Going as a brother and sister, Greek mercenary team, she is not too happy to be accompanied by Jake. The time raiders had once been lovers, and when he strolls back into her life on this mission, feelings tumble back. One look at Delia and Jake feels that old familiar intense haunting. She is one woman hard to get out of his system. Putting their past differences aside, the task at hand is delicate and requires concentration. Jake is unable to talk and mind read at the same time, thus Delia must be his guide and guardian. With the leap into the past, can Delia and Jake find the piece of artifact to the Karanovo Bronze Seal, and return to the present, or will fate keep them in the past?
Time Raider: The Seeker is a thrilling read. The premise, with soaring back into time, to retrieve valuable information is indeed a page-turner. There were times I felt as if I had traveled right along with Delia and Jake. I love the pull these two players have with their hearts and feelings. Once the couple land in 44 BC, the action really starts. Lindsay McKenna indeed pens a marvelous read to the beginning of a series that is sure to please just about anyone. I found this read thoroughly exhilarating.
