THE ZERO DOG WAR

Rating: 3 Cups
Andrea Walker is the captain of her Zero Dogs unit. She is also a pyromancer.
Captain Jake Sanders works for Special Forces and goes where he is told to go. When a plot becomes known to Homeland Security involving zombies, it is his job to enlist the aid of the Zero Dogs.
Andrea knows that her team is unique and different and seems to goof off at the worst times possible, but there is no one she trusts more to have her back. When Jake infiltrates her team and steps on her toes, she is not sure if she wants to set his feet on fire or kiss him. But the conflicting desires must wait as they go to war against a man determined to use zombies for world domination in a whole new way; through the food industry.
The Zero Dog War is a novel unlike anything I have read before. Parts of this were quite funny and I found myself laughing at all the antics Mr. Melton had the characters performing. However, I did find that some of the jokes and actions fell flat. I thought the way Andrea is portrayed as this strong, capable, and take charge woman was perfect for her role as the captain of this eclectic group. If you like comedy such as Austin Powers, you will more than likely enjoy this tale.
