THE WEDDING CAKE TREE
Choc Lit Limited
Rating: 4 Cups
Grace Buchanan has become a celebrity photographer with a fast-paced life, hoping to one day return to her childhood home. St Christopher’s is a place she loved and had a great childhood. But as fate would have it, she was returning much sooner than she thought and for her mother’s death.
Her mother, Rosamund, had a very specific will that gave Grace very little choice in what she had to do in order the inherit St Christopher’s. Grace’s life must stop for two weeks to make a journey of a lifetime. Along with this journey, she must read letters from her mum explaining the situation.
With only a complete stranger as a traveling companion and a itinerary she has no clue about, at first Grace says no, but curiosity about a woman she really never knew goads her on. But all will be revealed in due time, leaving Grace with a journey doing, seeing, and feeling things she never could imagine.
Wow, what a vacation! At first, I was a bit confused on locations, but with the help of Google, I was able to understand just where Grace’s travels took her. Add the wonderful descriptions of each destination, I felt as if I was Grace's traveling companion. With the emotional part, it was a roller coaster ride from lows to highs, and I could not wait to see what was next. The Wedding Cake Tree is a book to add to your reading pile!
