Eleanor was betrothed to an earl a few years back, now she and her parents are getting antsy that the marriage has not yet happened. When they confront Quigley, he tells them he has changed him mind and no longer needs a wife. Although not pleased, they move on looking for another husband and title for her.
Quinn is a spy for the Americans. He has been helping the colonists by providing weapons and by smuggling precious documents into the right hands in the America. He also is trying to gain as much information by pretending to be his brother Quigley; only, if anyone finds out, he could be hung for treason.
Eleanor is not pleased with Quigley, but finds herself falling for Quinn not knowing his secrets. But with his life in danger at all times, can Quinn take the time to love Eleanor? And what will her presence do to his plans?
Mystery and intrigue coupled with romance is a great idea for a book, and one that works for The Spy Exposed. This author whisks you back in time to early America and England to tell their story. There is danger around every corner for this couple but you cannot help but root for Eleanor and Quinn, they fit so well together. I am hoping to read more by Ms. Margret in the future.
