THE SECRET OF EVERYTHING

Rating: 5 Cups
A born wanderer, Tessa Harlow is beginning to go stir crazy while convalescing at her father’s beach house in California. The nightmares since her accident have been frequent and disturbing, and center on a little town in New Mexico that seems to be calling her home.
Raising three little girls has Vince Grasso bearing the weight of the world on his shoulders. He will never understand how his wife could check out on her family like she did, and it is becoming increasingly clear that his oldest, Natalie, is still having a hard time coping with the loss.
Tessa comes to Los Ladronas, New Mexico in part to get back to work, but also to reacquaint herself with a past she can only remember in vague fragments. Her culpability in the death of one of her hikers weighs heavily on her heart, and it is bringing about all sorts of flashbacks that threaten her very identity. While unlocking these secrets, Tessa is unwittingly falling hard for Vince, and while the attraction is undeniable, she cannot imagine fitting into his life. This wonderful mysterious woman has Vince tied in knots, because no matter how much he desires her mind, body, and soul, he has one priority, and it is his girls.
The senses come alive through the talent of Barbara O’Neal. Her characters imprint themselves on your soul with their tears of joy and sorrow, and you become one with them throughout their pilgrimage. From hiking the trails around Los Ladronas, having breakfast with Vita, and losing your heart to a wonderfully honest man, you are sure to find this a most fulfilling read. I am thrilled to have had the experience, and can only hope you will feel the same.
