THE MILLIONAIRE’S MISBEHAVING MISTRESS
Rating: 5 cups
Gwen Sawyer makes her living preparing debutantes for their coming out balls. She also writes a column, as Miss Behavior on TeenSpace, a website created for teenagers by a former debutante and client. She would rather be working for a company, training the employees on business etiquette, but her current job pays the bills.
Will Harrison hates gold diggers and women who use him to social climb. He is the heir to the Harrison fortune and the most eligible bachelor in Dallas. His problem is his fifteen-year-old half-sister and ward, Evangeline - Evie. She could be the biggest embarrassment to his family, socially, unless he can find someone to teach her how to act in society.
Gwen is stunned to learn she will be teaching etiquette to Evie Harrison. With the Med Ball only three weeks away, she has her work cut out for her. When Will suggests Gwen move into their home, Gwen is not sure it will be smartest move. Just as a romantic relationship begins, Will overhears a conversation Gwen and Evie are having. He jumps to the worst conclusions and says things he cannot take back.
Romance blooms on the pages of this tale. I adored the characters Ms. Lang has created. Gwen is such a stickler for the rules and it makes it just that much more fun reading about the many ways she breaks them. Having a hero who will help her break rules just adds more enjoyment to the story. Evie was the comic relief in this book. She kept the two adults on their toes throughout. I laughed out loud at some of the things that came out of that child’s mouth. This is definitely a story I will re-read through the years.
