THE LASTING: A GARGOYLE NOVEL
Aurora from Bonaparte Press
Rating: 4 Cups
When she was a child, Irisa Smith witnessed her parent’s murder by a gruesome monster. Homeless, she grew up in a foster home and with a deadly fear of the night and the moon.
Antares is a Gargoyle who, tricked by someone he thought was a friend, has been trapped in stone for the past twenty-five years.
When Irisa returns home, she visits the cave where she spent much of her time as a kid. She discovers Antares and her world changes as he becomes human from her touch. He needs to convince her they need each other and belong together; that they complete one another and she should have no fear of the moon.
What a cool book. I really did enjoy this story by Ms. Carmer. It was fantasy come to life. A hunky hero with a spunky heroine and lots of excitement are rolled into this book to make it a good read. So whether you are a shape shifter fan or just looking for something different, try The Lasting: A gargoyle Novel. It is a sure bet on the excitement factor.
