Amy Masterson lost her mother, who was her best friend, to breast cancer six months ago. Amy decided to continue what her mother had started to follow the trail in the hope of finding her mother’s birth mom. When the trail leads her to a home on Sugar Plum Lane, she soon learns it is the home of her great-grandmother, Ellie.

Amy also is planning to divorce her husband who she still loves but has grown tired of his absence in her and their daughter’s life. Although he is against the divorce, he cannot seem to convince Amy to change her mind.

As Amy finds herself immersed with this house, she meets neighbors, her grandmother, Barbara, and her great grandmother, Ellie. Although she does not share her story immediately, things soon take different paths as their lives intertwine with each other.

What a joyous read. Many stories intertwine through the main one. Many lives are changed and impacted by what transpires. The cast of characters who need to tell their stories is just amazing. You will glide on through this story with a range of emotions from happy to sad. Ms. Duarte has written a book worthy of praise and worthy of your bookshelf!
