Hillary Bennett, a former history professor, has traveled to the small Scottish village of Culcraig not only to research a legend in the hope of writing a new book but to also escape the horrible tragedy that has become her life. When she arrives, she finds the woman from whom she was to get the information is dead. This is not the way she had hoped things would go.
Caid Douglas has inherited a house and its contents from an aunt he barely knew. He has no use for the house and striking a deal with the beautiful Hillary does not seem like a bad idea. She gets journals to help her story, and he gets money to fix up the disaster of a house in order to sell it.
With the legends of a witch burning and family curses looming in the background, things start to become very clear when people are dying and attempts to kill others begin. But, who is the main target and why? Caid and Hillary need to hurry and find out before they become one of the next victims.
Romance and suspense are a plus in my book. Add to that a hunky man with an accent and ta da, you have The Curse of Culcraig. Fast paced excitement, not to mention steamy and sexy as well. Great characters balance this out into one read you should try.
