THE BIGGEST KAHUNA

Rating: 4 Cups
Nikkie joins her brother and his family in the Hawaiian Islands to help out in their bar after she divorces her philandering hubby. She is still feeling emotionally raw when she meets the one man she should avoid like the plague and falls in love.
Kal knows he should leave Nikkie alone because he is immortal and she is not, but something about her beauty and the pain she has suffered draws him to her. So, even knowing it cannot be forever, though there is a part of him that wishes otherwise, he asks Nikkie out and the sparks fly from their very first date. It is not long before Kal is as head over heels for Nikki as she is for him.
When Nikki overhears a conversation between Kal and his sister Pele, she is stunned to discover his true heritage. Terrified and unsure how to handle it she retreats, this causes Kal to do something far sooner than he intended, show her his true nature. However, Nikki must complete a task for Pele before she and Kal can truly be together. Only when she faces her fear of possibly losing Kal does the true test of her courage begin.
This story was incredible! Ms Cullen tells a wrenching tale of two people who cannot be together without the greatest risk of all, trust. The pain expressed over their respective situations, Nikkie discovering her husband was unfaithful and Kal finding that no woman was willing to sacrifice something they valued in order to be with him forever, was very realistic. The descriptions of Hawaii were authentic and the mythology was descriptive and well researched. I am looking forward to Ms Cullen’s next book and would recommend her to anyone who enjoys a paranormal romance.
