Medical Romance

She would have thought medical school was good preparation for keeping long hours with very little sleep, but it was nothing compared to the hours Dr. Ivy Harris is working now. She needs help running the clinic before it runs her right into the ground, and she has only one place to turn.

Danton is a nice quiet unassuming little town, the perfect respite for Dr. Ethan Locke, and he intends to keep it that way. No way is he ready to step back into the fray of sick and injured children, and just the thought of working with babies makes his heart ache.

Ivy lands on Ethan’s doorstep with one thing in mind, and that is convincing this “retired” doctor to help out in her clinic. She pleads her case, and gets summarily rejected, but Ivy has never been one for backing down. Ethan, against his better judgment, agrees to help Ivy, but the thought of spending the day in her company is almost as unsettling as working with children. She makes him feel, and she makes him want, two things he has tried desperately to bury in the back of his mind, but her determination is like a battering ram, and he is helpless against the onslaught.

You will absolutely adore this story and its two main characters. Ivy is all spitfire and smiles, and her unfailing kindness lights up the pages. Ethan has the great brooding personality down to a “T”, but his honor and integrity are undeniable. They have a wonderful connection, and their story is tender and romantic.
