David Martin is a young author who has survived a troublesome childhood with the help of a bookshop owner by throwing himself into the world of intrigue that books have to offer. He soon finds himself writing under a pseudonym, creating dark tales of the city’s underworld.
The Mansion he lives and works in soon seeps into his body and soul and places him at odds with what he has chosen to write. He soon receives an offer to write a book like nothing he has ever written or seen in exchange for an enormous amount of money.
David is beginning to wonder what is real, what is the past, its mystery regarding another author and former owner of what is now his home and what it has to do with him. As the mystery deepens and people around him are dying, the puzzle only grows.
The Angel’s Game is truly a book you will want to make lots of time for. It has many twists and turns into both what may seem real and what may seem only a story. It is a dark story that will entrap you and encourage you to keep turning the pages. So, plan on taking lots of time to explore the world of Barcelona in the 1920’s. The characters you meet along the way will not disappoint but will highly entertain you.
