Dawn Glass is employed by the BLM- Bureau of Land Management. She is working with cowboys to find homes for the wild mustangs which are rounded up each year. She is a woman working in a male dominated job, but she is still a woman beneath it all.
Miguel Perez wants to use his training methods –which are within the BLM standards- to teach a wild mustang a new way of life. He is not expecting to meet a woman who will dominate his thoughts.
Ms. Harper writes an interesting story with characters that come to life in the reader’s mind. Dawn and Miguel share a few moments which will certainly get your heart racing.
Long Hard Ride
Diana Grant is going through a difficult time. She has lost her husband, and her home is in foreclosure. A stop at the local café for a soda puts a new spin on her life. This lady gives the gossipmongers something to gossip about.
Michael White Horse happens to be in the café when Diana walks in soaking wet from the rain. The older woman is not usually his type, but there is something about her. A quick round of mind-blowing sex and he is questioning his decision.
A story of miracles, love and angels with a touch of devilish charm, I enjoyed this one. Ms. MacNeal ropes the reader’s attention from the start and keeps them interested until the very last page.
A police officer turned forest ranger, Cass McIntyre is a woman who loves her job. She spends her off time climbing the rocks in the park. It seems whenever she gets into a situation she cannot handle, in rides her knight in tarnished armor.
Adam Youngblood is a rancher whose land borders the park. With a list of complaints about the park’s visitors, he is in Cass’s office weekly. Since it is a good excuse to get a good look at the lovely park ranger, he is happy to make the complaints.
Adam and Cass as a couple remind me of a lit match and gasoline, combustible. They push each other’s buttons and stand back to wait for the explosion.
I enjoyed the dynamics of the individual couples in these stories. Each one is unique. The common link is, of course, a handsome cowboy. Overall, this book was exciting from beginning to end. Ms.Harper, Ms. MacNeal and Ms. Devlin incorporate sex, romance and love into tales which will captivate the reader. The title for this anthology is fitting in every way. I encourage you to pick up this book. Whether you are a fan of the Wild West, romances or cowboys, you will not be disappointed.
