Juliet Lamprey knows exactly what it takes to achieve sweet success. Her bakery, Tart, is an area favorite for savory treats. If only her private life could follow suit. The man she has loved all her life seems immune to her charms, and she might just have to give up on him altogether when an old friend moves back to town with some promising results.
Cal Whaley considers himself pretty open when it comes to relationships. Male or female, he chooses his lovers for their personality and not their gender. Still, there’s only ever been Juliet for him when it comes to long-term attachments. He has always shied away from making the move from friendship to more, but when someone else moves in on Juliet he wonders if it is too late.
Gideon Carter knows instantly that Juliet is what he wants. The chemistry between them is hot and undeniable. When Cal declares himself a rival for her affections, Gideon is struck by the urge to suggest a three way. Why settle for two when three would be so much sweeter?
Tart has a lot to offer in an erotic romance. The characters are loveable and their angst is both believable and exciting. However, the story is often confusing, leaving the reader feeling frustrated. Fortunately, the small town setting and secondary cast hold a lot of promise for future books in the series.
