Drew Evans is the go to man in his life. Every deal gets closed and every woman winds up in his bed. Then one night a hot chick named Kate has the audacity to ignore his advances. All of a sudden Drew’s life is in a tailspin and he cannot tell exactly where he is going to crash land.
Katherine Brooks is young, beautiful, and ambitious. Drew Evans might be the golden boy, but she is out to prove she can out perform him everywhere. When the office battlefield dances perilously close to the bedroom, Drew begins to wonder if the two of them might just combust.
It does not take long for Drew to completely lose his head with Kate. He used to be cool and unaffected. Now he finds himself in a completely new situation. He wants Kate more than anything else in the world and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make things work.
The fact that this story is told from Drew’s point of view is both refreshing and hugely entertaining. True to the typical male stereotype, Drew thinks about sex in tantalizing and drool inspiring detail. However, midway through the book I confess an urge to reach into the book and strangle the man if he used his maleness as an excuse for one more asinine comment.
