Some would say Natalia has the life of a princess; she is primped, pampered, and bathed on a daily basis without lifting a finger, all in preparation for the Governing Council of Zortou. She is their Rosabelle—consort to three men on a planet where women are nearly extinct, and those that survive become personal possessions of very powerful men.
The people of Belton are very fortunate to live on a thriving planet, and Colonel Ryder Jacobs intends to keep it that way. Rumors of an impending attack by Zortou prompt him to take drastic measures, including the abduction of their precious Rosabelle.
Talia is well aware she is little more than a whore for the Governing Council, but as much as she detests her life, she knows of no way out. Hours of her day are spent servicing the three men who govern her planet, but never has she enjoyed release of her own, until a stranger walks into her life. Ryder infiltrates the council’s chambers with the sole intent to kidnap their Rosabelle, and then interrogate her for answers, but it only takes a chance encounter with her, and all of his military expertise takes a nose dive. He is enraptured with the enemy, and his attraction to her could easily spell destruction for an entire planet.
I always enjoy a little sci-fi intrigue mixed in with some very hot romance, and Take Me is a wonderful combination. Talia has the capacity to be a much more complex character, but although the intricacies of her life are not really explored, she is still an interesting heroine. Ryder is a much simpler individual, and has all the traits you would expect in a romance hero. Their story is lively and entertaining; a little something to spice up your life, and put a smile on your face.
