Shelby Moore is the victim of a terrible crime. Once she awakens from a coma the first face she sees is Rex Metcalf.
Rex Metcalf is unable to leave the bedside of the woman he saved. Unusually drawn to her and unsure what it is that draws him, he none the less becomes her best friend, thinking it was all he would ever have.
Shelby is learning that she has been a victim her whole life but her mind had chosen for her to forget. With the return of the memories of the most recent crime comes a flood of horrible memories from her childhood and the man who sacrificed to save her life. The trick will be if she can get past the pain and find Rex on the other side before a stalker takes away all her chances.
The author used an amazing talent to conceal the stalker in the story until the very end. The villain was so unexpected that I about fell out of my chair. This is the second book in the series and has inspired me to go back and find the other book to see if it is as good as this one. Who can resist hot Navy Seals and their beautiful women?
