Emma Dixon is a wild child who is always the center of attention. Men want her and women want to be her. She is a successful business owner and has everything she could wish for, except one thing.
Nate Sullivan is a handsome, wealthy, and successful surgeon who plays football in his spare time. He is a single and slightly overprotective parent of a teenage son.
Emma and Nate cannot seem to agree on anything. Every time they are in the same room, sparks fly. After Nate repairs Emma’s broken bones when she is in a car wreck, they are forced to spend more time together and the antagonism only grows. When Nate’s son and Emma’s adopted niece start dating, the two must join forces to first keep Nate from ruining his relationship with his son and secondly, to keep the two out of trouble. Mike and Shannon are not the only ones heading for trouble.
This is an excellent romance. The characters are likable and realistic, the plot is well crafted and absorbing, and the love scenes are steamy and inventive. Emma and Nate definitely prove that opposites attract, and their story is impossible to put down. Mike and Shannon’s subplot adds depth and provides some interesting situations. I liked this book so much that I went out and bought the rest of the series and read them right away. I am looking forward to the next two installments of the Dixon family stories.
