Out of all five of the family members, Jenny Jefferson is the only one not considered a genius, yet she seems to be able to handle difficult situations in a sensible manner when the need arises. When her sister, Lucy, requires help with opening her Bed and Breakfast, Jenny moves in to help while her hugely pregnant sister gets the essential rest her body craves.
Jase Edwards is Lucy’s twenty-one year-old brother-in-law, and did not leave the Jefferson relatives with a good impression when he tried to convince his brother not to marry into their family. But he has also agreed to help out and is now stuck at the Bed and Breakfast with Lucy and her sister Jenny.
Within minutes of seeing each other again, Jenny and Jase realize that there will be trouble on the horizon. There is a tension between them that will not be ignored and they soon find themselves embroiled in a romance. Something else is in the air, something sinister that will not leave the house and it soon finds a new target...Jenny. Will Jase and Jenny be able to rid the house of the evil before it is too late, and what will Jenny’s overprotective and manipulative mother say when she realizes things between Jase and Jenny have been heating up?
Storm Swept is a very exciting and romantic story of two people who are falling in love. Jenny and Jase are described perfectly by Linda Palmer. Both are young enough to enjoy life, yet old enough to realize that certain decisions may have life-long consequences. The paranormal aspect of this book was very chilling and mysterious, giving this a slightly scary and twisted feel. Every element of this novel is mixed flawlessly giving it the seamless rhythm that any reader can and will take pleasure in perusing.
