Ayala has no intention of being the property of a dominant lycan lover, let alone two of them, but she could never choose between them. Good thing her intentions are to leave the pack and move to a big city and make her own decisions.
Since childhood, Brady and Cade have always been friends and then became lovers. Separately, they each planned to ask Ayala to be their mate, but they lose her just as they realize there is no need for her to choose as they could easily put the she wolf between them.
Ayala leaves with her alphas permission so long as she goes where he has already made arrangements. She thinks it is perfect because she will still be free to lead her own life, but freedom comes with a price; one which is too high for her to willingly pay. Can Brady and Cade save her from her fate and convince her they could be the perfect kind of mates, or will they figure it out too late?
Spitfire is an outstanding shifter story. I became fascinated by the she wolf who wants the happiness she thinks she can find on the outside. It is a true the grass is not always greener on the other side kind of story. I found the Alphas unique situation interesting and the idea the Alpha can change his ways fascinating, as most Alphas always think they are right. For all shifter fans and those new to the genre; Ms. Stanley pens an outstanding shifter story well worth the read.
