Yessica, a kindergarten teacher, is afraid of two things: clowns and voodoo. She is upset and confused when her favorite cousin’s idea of an appropriate circus act for her school is a clown. He had better make it up to her with tonight’s blind date that he set up for her.
Kevin is not thrilled to be taking the place of the clown scheduled to make an appearance at the elementary school, but is eager to get a look at Marcus’ cousin Yessica before their date that night. He is definitely not disappointed.
A kindergarten teacher with a phobia about clowns finds love with a local attorney, despite his voodoo-practicing grandmother. However, Kevin’s grandmother is not the voodoo practitioner that she should be worrying about.
This interesting novel is a very unique read. Kevin and Yessica are extremely vivid characters with a great deal of chemistry. The voodoo angle adds to the novel’s eerie atmosphere. I loved Kevin’s pot smoking grandmother.
