Rating: 3 Cups
Carter is stuck between two worlds and the immortal one is unwilling to let him go. In order to protect his future he must revisit his past and lay it to rest once and for all.
Sarah has always known Carter was there for here and she knows he is a vampire. Now a miracle has occurred but a nightmare from Carter’s past wants to destroy all she and Carter have built.
Carter is forced to leave and go back to the immortal world to protect his wife and unborn child. In preparation for the fight ahead, he must dig up the past and share it with Sarah for the first time. Unfortunately, the challenges ahead may force him to choose between the family of his immortal existence and the family he built in the mortal world.
Silent Madness initially left me standing on the outside of a house looking in the window. There is a story unfolding on the inside but because I was missing important information I really had no clue what was really going on. I highly recommend starting with book one of the trilogy as this will surely alleviate the lost feeling. The writing is wonderful and flows smoothly despite the rocky beginning the reader feels. Silent Madness went on to become a thriller of a story which offers the reader a different take on the mortal and immortal life.
