SIDNEY SHELDON’S MISTRESS OF THE GAME
Mass Market Paperback
Rating: 2 Cups
Lexi Templeton is the daughter of Alexandra Blackwell, aka the good twin. She has suffered trauma as a child, but was well loved by the relatives who reared her.
Max Webster is the daughter of Eve, the evil twin. He has been taught to hate his relatives and that murder is just a means to an end.
The third generation of the Blackwells has grown up and is ready to wreak havoc on the business world. Lexi and Max are in competition over business, but another party is not going to let Kruger-Brent go out of the family and sees just the tool he needs to get what he wants.
Fans of Sidney Sheldon and improbable soap operas will love this book. It is full of melodrama, extremely colorful characters and evil villains. I found the book a bit much at times and was offended by the depiction of the rape of a young girl. That pretty much turned me off to the rest of the story. The book is well plotted otherwise, but I just could not get past that incident to enjoy the story.
