Jill Kohlson is on a mission when she visits Silas Mariner, though it is known only to her. She is attracted to the two men who are in Silas’ shop, but she does not have time for anything more than a fling.
Garde and Gavin are twin shape shifters who have the ability to shift into several different dolphin forms. Garde is the first to lay eyes on Jill, and the first to try and charm her, but it is not long before Gavin gets in on the act as well.
When Jill arrives on Mermaid Isle and discovers that Silas is not there, it puts a cramp in her plans. However, the two handsome twins who are clearly shifters peak her interest from the very beginning. When they invite her to dinner, Jill takes them up on it, but when they take her to a grotto she has to stay out of the water, lest her secret be revealed. While their sexual encounter is hotter than hot, Jill has a job to do and do it she will. Even though her heart says it would like to stay, when she learns that Silas has been captured by a very bad man, she knows she has to help him. She returns to Florida and sets a plan into motion, only to discover that the twins had a plan of their own. What will happen when their plans collide, and the twins discover Jill is not all that she seems?
Shifting Tides: Soul of the Sea is a very entertaining story that I really enjoyed reading. The world building is spectacular and all of the characters, both primary and secondary, are realistic. I especially enjoyed reading about Jill’s feistiness, which in my mind made this story. The sexual encounters are hot and sweet at the same time and in my mind were fit into the story in just the right places. If you enjoy reading about magic and shape shifters mixed with love, then you do not want to miss this one!
