Sasha’s world, Magnus 3, is dying. The sun is vacillating in its orbit, becoming unpredictable; soon cosmic radiation will obliterate life on her planet. The technology to prevent the deadly rays may be available on Centor, but greedy corporate financiers guard the knowledge stringently, secretly negotiating for the optimum price.
Dirk is a mysterious, powerfully sexy stranger who inexplicably assists Sasha in her escape from Centor. Once on his ship, however, Sasha’s laser and the hard-won evidence, captured on her data chip, are wiped clean – useless.
Sasha works alone. Despite the undeniable sexual chemistry she shares with Dirk, her ultimate goal is clear – her planet, including her beloved father’s life, depends upon her ability to steal the design for the giant warp drive hidden on Centor. Outwitting Dirk, so her task can be accomplished, may be even more difficult than she imagines.
This is an exciting, action-packed space adventure filled with unexpected twists and alternate life-forms. The motivations of the characters are especially well-conceptualized, as are the sophisticated weapons, tools and gadgets used throughout the escapade. I enjoyed the heat that is always present between Sasha and Dirk. I am rooting for them both and hope they will have further adventures together.
