Gracie Lynne Calloway's mother left her on a porch in a coal bucket in a small town in Alabama twenty-five years ago. At least that is the story up to this point. But Gracie Lynne is in line for the shock of her life, that who she really is does not even come close to who she thinks she is.
Sam Fontana is a northern PI that has been hired by the Hammond family to find Gracie. He has found her but does not want to scare her off with the news of who she really is, and yet he must finish what his father and Gracie’s father could not many years before.
Sam and Gracie soon find themselves thrown together in a strange situation. Her not knowing what to make of who she is, and he unsure of everything but wanting to protect Gracie. Gracie is at a crossroads in her life and finds she must make some very tough decisions in order to face the future after merging two very different worlds together.
Salting Roses is a great read to add to your bookshelf. It has great, real characters with all too real problems not to mention a tad bit of romance thrown into the mix. Gracie has some major life changes that she must make, and her journey is filled with laughter and tears. But it is a journey that the reader will enjoy. Thank you Ms. Marinello for an off the beaten path, fun read.
