SADDLED AND SPURRED
A Blacktop Cowboys Novel

Bran Turner is frustrated when he realizes that he is shorthanded during a time when he needs all the help he can get. He lives in a rural town in Wyoming where the help is limited, but he can only hope for the best.
Harper Masterson knows that when people see her, they see the beauty pageant queen, not the woman she really is. When she loses one of her jobs, Harper is afraid that she will not be able to support herself, much less her soon-to-be college student sister.
Thanks to a helpful tip from a good friend, Harper soon finds herself working for Bran. The cowboy finds it hard to keep his mind on work and off the sensual body of his new hired hand. As the sexual tension mounts, they both give into temptation and try to keep their personal business separate from their personal pleasure. All too soon Bran and Harper’s business becomes entangled in their personal lives which leaves them both with heartache. Can they figure out what they want from each other before hurtful words tear them apart for good?
The emotional turmoil that Ms. James has given these two characters makes this novel a heartrending story that will leave you aching for the suffering Bran and Harper have throughout the book. Saddled and Spurred is extremely hot and will have your fingertips sizzling as you turn page after page. As you get to know Harper’s situation with her sister, you find yourself pulling for her as she overcomes the obstacles put before her. Bran’s trust issues also play an important part in the conflicts the lovers come up against in the book. Then you have the other characters that play major and minor roles in this novel, leaving me hoping to see more of this series as well as the interesting characters within.
