Carlin Reed’s life has been turned upside down, living on the run, because of a stalker who believes he owns her and will stop at nothing to keep her. Getting to Battle Ridge, she takes a job as a cook on a ranch, in hope no one will find her. But she never counts on making friends and falling for a cowboy.
Zeke Decker reluctantly hires Carlin as a cook and housekeeper. Needing someone desperately, he even does it on her terms. But he knows she has a story and is destined to find out what it is.
The attraction between Zeke and Carlin has sparks flying, but each has reasons for staying away from one another. Soon, however, it is too hard to do. They grow closer the longer Carlin stays, but her life is still in danger. Hopefully, her stalker will be caught before anyone else gets hurt.
Running Wild is a great start to a new series. This book has everything–from hot steamy romance to danger that lurks around the corner. Carlin and Zeke are a great couple, both so different yet they accept each other’s faults. A cast of extra characters rounds out this exciting read. I am looking forward to the next book in the Men from Battle Ridge series. This is a book to add to your reading list.
