Emma is running in the Comrades Marathon when a roadside bomb goes off sending her tumbling. She awakes to a man standing over her injecting her with something with an epi pen. She feels strange yet she finishes the race and soon finds herself in danger and calling upon Edward Banner and his security company, Darkview.
Edward Banner and his company, however, are very busy trying to calm matters from a past mission and a current mess in the Gulf of Aden with Somali pirates. So he enlists Emma’s expertise as a chemist sending her to Somali to help with what they hope is not a huge chemical weapon.
Trying to find out who is behind the pirates’ attack, and who is after the vaccines and/or trying to use them to hurt others is what Darkview and others are involved in and need to solve quickly before any more people get killed.
Action on the high seas, well-crafted characters, and adventure at every turn is what Ms. Freveletti offers her readers with Running Dark. It is scary to believe that things like this do happen in real life; yet it makes for exciting reading. If you are looking for a thrill and a break from the same old reads Running Dark is one to try out.
