Some cases are just tougher than others, and Detective Ethan Harper can easily say that this is one of the worst he has ever seen. He does not know what to make of the desiccated bodies, but the feeling of being watched is even more disturbing.
They never mix business and pleasure, but Savannah Oxford knows that something is seriously bothering Ethan. Getting him to talk about a case is not easy when she is a journalist and he a cop, but he should know she would never do anything to jeopardize his job.
The ever-present feeling of doom dogs Ethan relentlessly, but Savannah’s diversion has the desired effect, and he cannot say he is disappointed. She has mentioned adding a partner to their lovemaking before, and with her best friend in the house the timing just seems right. But when Savannah finally gets her wish to add another male to the mix, they find themselves at the mercy of something a little less human, and a whole lot more dangerous. Ethan has one chance to catch a killer, but is he willing to stare death in the face, and pay the ultimate price?
This ménage of characters featuring the good, the bad, and the damned will ignite every one of your heat sensors. Their sexual exploits are off the charts, and easily capture your interest. It is the vampire aspect of this storyline that I feel could benefit from the same intensity, as well as the emotional relationship between Ethan and Savannah. I believe those details will only enhance the attraction and the appeal of this story to the reader.
