As half owner of The Cookie Jar, Hannah Swensen already has her hands full baking yummy cookies and coming up with some new recipes for the Christmas season. Add to that her zany cat as well as her relationships with her two boyfriends, and Hannah’s schedule is just overflowing.

As one of Hannah's boyfriends, Mike Kingston also happens to be a deputy for the local sheriff’s department and is a ladies’ man. He cares for Hannah, but cannot see himself spending eternity with just one woman, at least not at this point in his life.

When Hannah and her other boyfriend, Norman, find a local businessman dead in his home, clues begin to unravel about his shady dealings. With a list of suspicious characters, she starts to question those closest to her, hoping she will not find a suspect. When the true killer is revealed and a motive is found, it may already be too late for Hannah. Will anyone be able to save her before it is too late for a woman best known for her outstanding baking abilities as well as her instinctive investigative skills?

Plum Pudding Murder is the twelfth Hannah Swensen mystery. Ms. Fluke tells this tale in an old-fashioned Murder She Wrote meets In the Heat of the Night television show town where everyone knows just about everything, but some secrets are always kept until the end. Each character within the pages of this book has a certain repertoire with everyone else that has a feel-good quality and makes the reader feel as if they could be part of the town itself. I also enjoyed reading many of the scrumptious sounding recipes that are included within the novel. A good story with a shocking enough ending that would keep the reader on edge and wanting to read the next book in the series just to see what will happen next.

Caution: This tale contains some awesome sounding recipes that will give the reader an urge to bake!
