Amy Walker decided to have a child after seeing how her mother hit menopause at a young age. Now she is trying to get back into the dating world, which is hard enough on its own, but with a six year old son it makes it even harder.
Sam Draper is instantly attracted to Amy. When he asks her out for a date, he immediately goes home to study the intricacies of coffee so he can be prepped for their date.
Amy is no better, studying up on how buildings are built so she can act like she understands what Sam does. As one date turns into two and then more, Amy feels like things could not be more perfect. But as with any relationship, an obstacle gets in the way of their perfection. When secrets are revealed, it will shock both of them and change their lives forever and Amy and Sam must then decide if their love is worth fighting for.
Ms. Margolis always knows how to make me laugh. I love how thrilling these characters were as they bumbled their way through a fresh relationship, funky friends, interesting family members, and real-life crisis. Perfect Blend gives the reader such entertainment that you will just shake your head at their antics and zany worlds. Meanwhile the real problems sneak up on you and you find yourself pulling for the characters, even those who are just plain nasty. This tale was very well done, excellently written, and leaves the reader with a satisfied feeling in the pit of your stomach.
