Webb Sawyer has only a few things that he loves. Fishing is on the top of his list, with his son Preston being the only thing that tops that. When his son is accused of murder, Webb reaches out and tries to help discover what really happened.

Preston Sawyer knows his father is good at figuring out crimes. But he wants to find out for himself what exactly happened to his professor and why he is being framed. Heading out on his own is the biggest mistake he has ever made.

When Webb realizes that his son is missing, he, along with Preston’s girlfriend, are on the case to find Preston. With Sunshine’s help, they begin to trail a sadistic group of people known for their wild sex parties and drug use. The clues lead them into Texas, where they meet up with an unexpected person from Webb’s past. Realizing that they are all in danger is one thing, but when Webb understands what they have been doing to his son, all bets are off as to how far the father will go to avenge the son who was wronged.

From the first page until the very last, Pelican Point kept me entertained, and Mr. Quinn held me in a thrall of his work. The mystery starts from the very beginning and does not stop, keeping you in suspense. The details within the story are so rich there were times I could actually smell the marsh and hear the birds calling out. The scene leading up to when Webb and Sunshine find Preston was so intense I felt as if I was reading a ghost story; it was that creepy, but in a good way. This novel will keep you guessing, and I can guarantee that you will find yourself completely and utterly wrapped up in Webb’s life and all the events that take place within these pages!
