Nature boy is about the last thing Wesley could be accused of being, so it confounds even him why he agreed to this trip with Tony. Their leisurely trip down the river turns into a nightmare. One that Wes is not sure he will ever wake from.
The scent of a human is always sweet to a vampire, yet nothing has ever smelled as good to Remus as the little blonde man they find in the forest. Staying alive is a priority, however, especially with Dráguns infesting the area.
Falling down Alice’s rabbit hole could not be freakier than what Wes is experiencing right now, although the man protecting him has his blood singing. Remus feels extremely drawn to Wes, and not only for his blood, yet when that blood is spilled, it is Remus who must make a split second decision to keep Wes alive. The days in Remus’s care change Wes’s life forever, which makes the thought of going home incredibly bitter-sweet. Wes does not belong on Pavarus, with its crazy population of vampires, dragons, and witches, but leaving Remus will likely crush his heart.
The highs and lows for the characters in this story are exhilarating, excruciating, and every emotion in between. There is so much more going on than a love affair between Wes and Remus as every character who enters the scene feels like they have a story to tell. It really adds a layer of complexity for the reader to get little snippets of the other lives circulating throughout this storyline. This series will be one to watch for any vampire and M/M book lover.
