ONE HOT FORTY-FIVE
Rating: 4 Cups
Nothing is as terrifying as questioning your sanity, unless it is the court questioning it for you. Dede Chamberlain knows first hand exactly how that feels, and if she does not find someone who believes in her soon, it will be too late.
As the last of the Corbett brothers to find everlasting love, Lantry Corbett is secure in the knowledge that he is safe from such madness. As an extremely successful divorce lawyer, he is all too aware of the statistics on marriage, and can never see himself falling for such insanity.
On the run for her life, Dede is well aware that if she is caught and sent back to the mental hospital she is as good as dead. She has only one chance, and that is to find her ex-husband's lawyer, and hopefully convince him of her innocence. Lantry cannot believe the audacity of Dede's claims, but the longer he spends in her company, the harder she is to ignore. The threats against her are frighteningly real, but can he honestly trust her or even himself when his heart is clamoring like never before?
This is one story sure to hold you in suspense right through to the end. The main characters are both fascinating and thoroughly exciting. There are times though that I felt the secondary characters took away from the main plot, and clouded the storyline. However this is an excellent series of books, and all of the Corbett men are well worth the read.
