ONE FOOT FORWARD
Linden Bay Romance
Rating: 4 Cups
Molly, a competitive runner, was in a devastating car wreck shortly before her biggest race. She lost a leg in that accident, and subsequent events have left her feeling less than attractive to the opposite sex.
Mick has been unable to forget the brave young woman who lost her leg and her running career two years ago. He himself has been unable to get over the death of his fireman father the year before Molly’s accident.
A woman recovering from a physical injury and a man recovering from an injury to the spirit find and help each other, falling in love along the way. Molly is determined to thank the firefighter who helped save her, and ends up buying him in a bachelor auction. When Molly buys him at the auction, Mick discovers that she is even braver and more beautiful than he remembers, but is afraid of hurting her.
This is an inspiring story. Molly is a very brave and strong woman who uses her injury to help others in the same position. Mick is also a wonderful character who, after seeing what the loss of his father did to his mother, avoids commitment, until he meets Molly. Their story and conflicts are realistic and engrossing, and the supporting characters are as well drawn as the main ones. This is a really great story.
