Gay Erotic Romance, Fantasy

Adrian “Varian” is both a dragon shifter, leader of his people, and a high school teacher. Imagine his surprise when one of his students turns out to be a knight and has given him notice, which essentially means a fight to the death.
Huntington is a high school senior and knight. He also has tremendous psychic abilities and powers that allow him to completely control others, including dragons.
Josh is Varian’s lover and roommate. He tends to be flamboyantly gay.
When one of Varian’s students gives him notice in class and he begins finding poisoned needles everywhere by getting stuck by one of them, he knows it is only a matter of time before said student forces him into a corner figuratively speaking. He refuses to kill one of his students, even if that student is a knight, one of the dragon kind’s mortal enemies. He is finally able to get everyone away from his classroom by pulling the fire alarm. Fortunately for him he has identified his attacker as Huntington Dakota. Thinking he has at least postponed things, he finds he is wrong when Huntington forces him to shape shift into his dragon form in front of the whole school. Angry, he grabs Huntington, knocks him out when he begins struggling and flies to one of his hideouts, a cave. It is in this cave that Huntington demonstrates the force and power of his abilities, it is also where he decides he does not want to kill Varian and instead the two join forces to put a stop to the warring between the dragons and the knights. Fortunately, or unfortunately, however you want to look at it, Josh gets caught up in the war between dragons and knights and because of this, Varian’s secrets are revealed as he is forced to bring the three parts of his lives which he has always kept separate, into one. Will these three be able to defeat the knights and stop the war that has been brewing and festering for over a thousand years, or will they fail and turn their worlds into a nightmare, no one, either the dragons or the humans will want to live in?
I absolutely without equivocation LOVED this book!! It has been a long time since I read a book that kept me so glued to the pages, but Notice accomplished that and more. This story has everything I love, epic battles, dragons, time travel, gay romance, and families being reunited just to name a few of the wonderful themes in this book. One of my favorite parts of the story was how Varian really begins to see Josh for who he is and what he really means to him. That made the tears come to my eyes on more than one occasion throughout this book. I also thought the creative way that the author reintroduced dead loved ones really helped to make this story one of the best I have had the pleasure to read in a long time. The way the author takes what many see as myths and legends and paints them in such a realistic way is another reason I know readers will love this story. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about it, and I for one will be looking hard for other books by this author and buying them. M. Raiya is an excellent storyteller and I look forward to reading many more of this author’s books in the future. If you love fantasy and gay romance, you simply must pick up a copy of Notice today!
