Chelsea Ross needs a job; one that will support her enough to get the surgery she so desperately wants and needs. When her twin sister Bo tells her about an assistant position available for an injured ex hockey player, Chelsea jumps at the chance.
Mark Bressler feels like his life is at a standstill and he is not sure where to go from here. Ever since seeing a picture of hockey players on a box of Wheaties when he was a kid, he knew he wanted to play hockey.
After a horrendous accident left Mark scarred, injured, and unable to play hockey any more, he gave up his dream of winning the Stanley Cup. As one nurse after another graces his doorstep, they just as quickly find themselves hustling themselves out the door. But Chelsea refuses to give up on the big “tool” and quickly worms her way into his life. And when life and sexual chemistry collide, a big blow up is destined which may destroy Chelsea’s already tender heart.
One thing I have to say about Ms. Gibson is her books will make you laugh until your sides ache and you are wiping tears from your eyes. Nothing But Trouble pits a pint sized woman against a larger than life hero who seems unmovable until Chelsea proves that she can fight just as rough as any hockey player can. The emotional pitfalls that these two characters face as they fight their growing attraction for each other keeps the reader interested. Not to mention that when they finally do hook up, it heats the pages to the point you swear the smoke alarm is going to go off. This is another winner for a very talented author.
