Sabrina has been spending her time debunking false claims of psychic phenomena, when she takes on an unusual assignment. She travels to Lonesome Pine Island and sees an island that appears and disappears. The phenomenon seems to be tied to the disappearance of ninety young girls and thirty sailors some thirty years before.
Jack met Sabrina at the site of another one of her cases. That case became a best selling novel for him. The former sportswriter is very drawn to Sabrina and so cannot ignore her request that he join her on Lonesome Pine.
An ancient evil has moved from the Mayan civilization of South America to the Canadian wilderness. It is up to Jack and Sabrina to try to stop it from becoming too powerful.
Nobody Told the Wind is a gripping horror story that I read in one sitting. The characters are sympathetic, but for some reason I got a clearer picture of the supporting characters like Stuart Polaski and Mary Windsong than I did of Jack and Sabrina. The story was well written and the area beautifully described. The horror aspect is very eerie and kept me interested until the very end.
