Calla Tor and Ren Laroche are Guardians and alphas of their respective packs. Their destiny has been determined and with their union will come the incorporation of their packs. There is one small speed bump on the way to happily ever after; Seamus “Shay” Doran.
Shay is shocked when he is rescued by a white wolf and floored when said wolf changes into a beautiful young woman. Unable to forget the specter of the she-wolf, he comes face-to-face with her in his new school.
Calla has a destiny that she is determined to fulfill. She is attracted to Ren and knows that he is the one for her -- that is until she met Shay. Shay has come to mean more to her than she can control, and their feelings just may be the death of them.
Nightshade is a wonderful paranormal book. It is a struggle between good and evil, when the evil wears a face you trust. I found the characters wonderful and the story line superb. Though I find the abrupt, cliff hanger ending annoying, it will in no way prevent me from keeping an eye out for the rest the story if for no other reason than to see what happens.
