NEW YORK FAIRYTALE

Erotic Romance; Contemporary
Rating: 3 Cups
Veronica “call me Ronnie” Carmichael is as laid back as any one person can get. But when it comes to her son and pickles, there is an inner intensity that allows her to get things done.
Rudy Vidmar is visiting from the small country of Marvinia. What most people do not realize is that he is actually the prince of the country and here to try to get their interesting foods into the New York restaurant market.
When Ronnie meets Rudy, all she can think about is getting him out of the Armani suit and romping with him, New York style. The prince has never met someone as interesting and free spirited as the sexy bartender with the blue highlights. As one sensual sexcapade turns into another, both will have to decide if this is a vacation thing or something more. Because eventually Rudy will have to tell Ronnie that he is a prince and his first duty is to his country.
New York Fairytale had a good thing going as Ms. Lowe uses the old-fashioned theme of prince meets regular girl and brings it into the twenty-first century. While I enjoyed reading this novel, I would probably not pick it up a second time as I found the story to be average. Though it is erotica and the sex was expected, I still like to have a solid storyline keep me interested in the characters and the plot. I will say I found Ronnie to be a fresh breath of air with her blue highlights and way of looking at life in a different way than most. On top of that, how conservative Rudy first comes off as and then how he slowly changes into a more relaxed man was a good thing to see.
