Phoebe Morin is a recent widow. She has moved back to her hometown for a new job and a new start. She is slowly healing but having a hard time since the death of her husband Steve.

Drew Montana is a budget analyst. He has Asperger’s Syndrome and has been a werewolf for the last three years. He feels free of his condition on the three nights a month that the wolf is in control.

Drew is roaming the night as a werewolf when he comes upon some vampires attacking a young woman. He leaps into action, destroying the monsters and saving the young woman. He is surprised to find that woman in his office as the new contracts manager. Unfortunately, the vampires are not finished with her yet and Drew is her only hope.

This is an interesting werewolf story. Drew and Phoebe are solid characters and their relationship and love story is very well described. I did not know if the character’s condition would work well in the story, but the author handled it well, though I do not think that lycanthropy is a recognized cure for Asperger’s. The action scenes with the vampires are very exciting and suspenseful. The love scenes between Drew and Phoebe are sensual and romantic. This quirky paranormal romance is an enjoyable and quick read.
