Be Mine, Cowboy
Rachel James did a lot of growing up when Cade King walked out of her life. She has a career making custom cakes and an autistic son to keep her life busy and full. Rachel has no time and less energy to spend on romantic frivolity.
Cade knows he was a fool to ever walk out on Rachel. His successful rodeo career will never fulfill him the way loving her did. Now he is back with one goal in mind and no intention of backing down.
Rachel has already been burned once. Now she has more than her own heart to worry about; she has her son’s. But Cade is not just a rodeo champion; the cowboy knows how to win no matter what the odds.
Hill Country Cupid
Tess knows exactly what Bailey Calhoun needs in her life. Bailey needs a new mom just as much as her dad needs a good woman to love. Fortunately for the Calhouns, Tess is a matchmaking expert.
Nick Calhoun cannot believe Tess wants to help him win the woman Nick has been crushing on since high school. His daughter Bailey is longing to have a special woman to fill the empty space in their life. With one failed marriage in his past, Nick is not convinced he can find and keep the kind of woman Bailey needs.
New clothes and a new outlook might be just what the love doctor ordered. But the more time Nick and Bailey spend with Tess, the less interest he feels in dating. In fact, the only woman Nick wants to attract is Tess.
Both Ms. Porter and Ms. Michaels have penned quick reads with simple plotlines and loveable characters. The two westerns mesh nicely in this single volume. This book will probably not wind up on the read it again and again list, but they are a pleasant way to escape for an evening.
