MR. WONDERFUL LIES

Rating: 3 Cups
Megan has had her fill of losers and cheaters, but now she has a list of requirements that she knows will help her find the perfect guy. And, it is working. She has found her new Mr. Wonderful, and through Facebook no less.
Jared is not happy with Megan’s new man, and not just because he wants her for himself. But when he approaches Megan with his own feelings, she ends up running straight into Mr. Wonderful’s arms.
Having finally found someone online that meets all the criteria on her list, Megan makes arrangements to meet him in person. Although her friends do not approve, she knows they will support her in her efforts. But when her good friend, Jared, reveals his hidden feelings in an effort to win her over before she becomes too involved with her new man, things spin horribly out of control.
Ms. Maitland is very good at writing indepth, emotional characters. They seem very true to reality but it is a bit difficult to follow along. There is so much confusion and angst coming from Megan that I found myself sometimes so lost in her character that Jared and Anna were a much needed relief. I was also a little disappointed that the happily ever after epilogue included the bad guy. Megan’s reflection instead of action in that particular scene disappointed me a little too. Overall, a decent story with very realistic problems, characters and voice.
