MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY
William Morrow/Harper Collins
Rating: 5 Cups
Chelsea Enright never expects her life to change in the direction it has. She is moderately happy to be an art teacher and to lead a fairly normal life, although she still has not yet found a meaningful romance. But everything changes with the death of her beloved grandmother Brooke.
Chelsea does not expect to inherit her grandmother’s cottage in the Adirondacks. No one has been there in years, since her grandmother closed it and never went back. It remains something Brooke never discussed.
Chelsea must follow her grandmother’s wishes—go to the cabin and find the clues to the story of what has happened in the past. Along the way, Chelsea finds herself falling for the handsome neighbor next door, and together they finish her quest for the truth.
Where can I begin to describe this book? I am totally speechless, which makes it hard to voice my opinion. Chelsea’s tale, involving also her family’s history, is a journey inside both the past and the present, as if the reader could be in two places at once. All I can say is this is a definite absolute must read! Truly, I know you will not be disappointed. As an added bonus, one gets Brooke’s war time recipes. They sound so scrumptious I am trying them all out!
