With very little help from his father, Travis Collins is working his way through college, but when even that little help dries up, working two part-time jobs will not be enough. The ad he sees in the paper seems like the only answer, if it is not too good to be true.
This is his last gig, and Gary is more than ready to give up Marston Cougar for good. One more shoot and he will have enough to cover Amy’s medical expenses, and hopefully be set for a good long time.
Travis never imagined he would be standing where he is today, and doing what he is doing; he is not gay and has never even looked at a man with interest, but the money is just too good to pass up. Travis takes on the name of Craig, and becomes the virgin sexual partner for Mars, but soon realizes that this role playing is becoming increasingly hard to differentiate from the real thing. Gary sees Craig and cannot help but feel a stirring unlike anything he has ever experienced with his other partners on film, but knowing what it is like to have his heart broken is very hard to forget. The intensity and passion they share in such a short amount of time changes everything for both of them, but this is not real life, it is just make-believe, right?
The raw passion and ragged emotions of both of these men roll off the pages in waves. Travis may be a struggling college student, but his feelings and actions reveal a maturity far beyond his years. The relationship between him and Gary does more than just heat up the libido; it really makes you feel like you know them on a personal level. And while there is a certain predictability to a plot line such as this, it does not inhibit the quality of these two characters or their powerful connection to each other.
